Warming Winter Pud - Blackberry, Apple, and Cinnamon Crumble
Could there be anything more heart (and tummy) warming than a mouth-watering crumble on a chilly winter’s evening? This Blackberry, Apple and Cinnamon Crumble recipe will dissolve away those winter blues with each delicious mouthful.
The recipe uses a combination of PACK’D Organic Blackberries and PACK’D Organic Apple topped with a sprinkle of cinnamon, and a sweet and fresh crumble with a fibre-boosting dash of oats.
Ingredients
For the crumble
- 30g caster sugar
- 30g demerara sugar
- 2 tbsp oats
- 60g plant-based block butter
- 100g plain flour
For the fruit mixture
- 1 tbsp demerara sugar
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/3 pack PACK’D Organic Blackberries (100g)
- 1/2 pack PACK’D Organic Apple (150g)
Method
- Put all your fruit mixture into an oven-proof dish and stir together.
- Place all the crumble mixture except the oats into a bowl and use the rubbing in method to form the crumble.
- Stir the oats into the crumble mixture.
- Layer the crumble mixture into the oven-proof dish and lightly press down.
- Optional- sprinkle a small amount of demerara sugar and oats on top.
- Bake at 170-degrees (fan) for 30 minutes.
